Alternatives

The objects you want to analyze and compare ...

Alternatives - the objects you want to analyze and compare. It may be, for example, cars, houses, employees, business plans etc. In other words, it may be any objects that you can describe with a set of parameters.

Within the Project all alternatives are described with the same set of parameters. You can insert list of parameters for current project at the pad "Parameters".

At the page "Alternatives" you can create a new alternative, open existing one or analize selected alternatives using one of the Plans of Analysis you have previously created.

To run the analysis check the alternatives you want to compare (or check all alternatives), than select Plan of Analysys from the dropdown list and click button "Analyze Alternatives..."

To insert the new alternative in the list just click link "Create new" and insert name of the alternative into text field.

You can also rename or delete an existing alternative.

To open alternative click it's name on the list and page "Parameters and values" for current alternative will be opened.

At the page "Parameters and values" - click "Edit" to input new value of the parameter or edit existing one. Click "Delete" to delete the value. There are three types of parameters in the system: Numeric, Logical (Yes/No) and Classifier, and you have special data input form for every type.

For parameters of the type "Classifier" you can select value from dropdown list or add a new value to the list.
For example, if you insert a value of the parameter "Fuel type" for a new model of the car which works on coal, and there is no "Coal" in the dropdown list of possible values for this parameter, you can just insert this new value in the text field on the form.
