How to create list of parameters describing your alternatives ...

After you created a new project, you have to define list of parameters describing your alternatives. For example, if you created project 'Cars' you should define list of parameters describing cars.

Parameters may be of three different types.

Type Parameter Value
Numeric Fuel efficiency 3.4 L/100 km
Logical (Yes/No) Air conditioning Yes
Qualitative Fuel Type Gasoline

To create list of parameters click pad "Parameters" . You will open list of parameters in current project. To add new parameter click link "Create new". Input name of the new parameter and select type: Numeric, Logical (Yes/No) or Classifier.

If your new parameter is qualitative (of the type "Classifier"), for example "Color" or "Fuel type", you will be asked to attach one of already created classifiers to your parameter, or define new one. For example, a classifier "Types of Fuel" may be attached to the Parameter "Fuel type".

Attached classifier contains all possible values of the parameter. For example classifier "Colors" may contain values "Red", "Green", "Blue" etc... When you insert value of the parameter "Color" for certain alternative you just select value from the list.

When you create a new qualitative parameter you don't have to fill attached Classifier with values - you can do it later, when you insert information about your alternatives into ESTIMATION AND CHOICE.
